Before meeting Sakamoto, I was unable the walk more than ten minutes without experience inner knee joint pain. On the day I met Sakamoto in particular, my knees were hurting an unusual amount.
Despite that fact that my mother was friends with Sakamoto’s wife since high school, it was my first time meeting Sakamoto, we walked into his clinic where he was consulting a patient. We were introduced and he asked if I may be used for a demonstration.
So I sat down and took my boots off, Sakamoto then demonstrated how to attach Bochikun. He then told me to put my socks and shoes back on, as per usual, and have a walk around.
To my amazement, the aches in my knees had completely disappeared. But not only that, it felt as if weights had been removed from my legs and were replaced with springs. My legs felt lighter and I had a bounce in my step.
Turns out I was one of millions suffering from Hallux Valgus, however because I’m still young it was mild, but it would have gradually gotten worse over time. Hallux Valgus caused a misalignment in the legs, placing pressure on parts of my knees that were not protected by cartilage, making my bones rub together when I walked.
Sakamoto explained, “Nature intended for humans to walk barefoot. Our toes should all point straight forward, however constant compression applied by socks and shoes, have caused the majority of the population to experience, at the least, the early stages of Hallux Valgus. And Hallux Valgus’s damage isn’t just isolated to your feet; the misalignment in the feet causes a domino effect, from the feet to the ankles to the knees and hips, branching all the way up through your whole body.”
So I was lucky to put a stop Hallux Valgus in its early stages, before it became a crippling problem. And you should too, don’t wait until it’s too late. Wear Bochikun and put a bounce back in your step.
